On the road to Rennes: our partnership with Andy Chiarelli

As the year draws to a close, we’re delighted to be partnering an exceptional expedition led by Andy Chiarelli.

An adventurer at heart for a meaningful expedition

Andy is an adventurer at heart, as demonstrated by his previous expeditions. In 2019, he will cross part of the Gobi desert on foot, in 2021 he will explore Iceland’s volcanoes and glaciers, and in 2023 he will cross Lake Inari in Finland.

For this new expedition, he will cycle from Valenciennes to Santa’s Village in Lapland, in total autonomy.

These 3,000 kilometers are not just for him, but also for the children. He wants to inspire children who have a difficult start in life, and give their parents courage. This crossing is also intended to inspire young and old alike.

To make sure you don’t miss a thing, a production team will follow him throughout his adventure and produce a 45-minute report.

Everyone can be part of the adventure

Perhaps we’ve all dreamed of writing to Santa Claus and having him read our letter, surrounded by his elves and reindeer.

Andy hasn’t forgotten, so he’s decided to take all the letters he’s written to Santa with him. On his website, you can find a sample letter and fill it in. You can also pick it up at the Cité des Congrès Valenciennes during an event , or at other sites partnering the expedition.

On November 10, Andy will pick them up, wrap them and take them to Santa.

All set to go!

On November 16, Andy will get on his bike at the Place d’Armes in Valenciennes. and set off for Rovaniemi. He won’t be setting off alone, as everyone will be able to join him on his bike for the distance of their choice, or simply say a few words to him before this crazy adventure.

A shared vision

Being a partner in Andy’s expedition made sense for the Cité des Congrès Valenciennes. As with all our events, Andy’s expedition will be full of emotion and adventure for those who follow him.

Our group, GL eventsis a major player in large-scale sporting events, and this adventure is also a physical feat for Andy.

On his return from his expedition, he will honor us with a lecture in one of our audits where his report will be previewed, followed by a wonderful evening.
