Encouraging people to use eco-friendly means of transport<\/strong>, integrating the socially excluded<\/strong> and managing fluids<\/strong> are all part of a CSR approach to events.<\/p>\n

The events industry is one of the most polluting sectors. The Cit\u00e9 des Congr\u00e8s Valenciennes has organized a conference on the subject, with a view to taking action on a local scale. <\/p>\n

Environmental issues and successful events: how do you reconcile the two<\/strong>? That’s the question we set out to answer. <\/p>\n

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), defined as the voluntary contribution of companies to sustainable development issues, both in their activities and in their interactions with stakeholders, by INSEE.<\/em><\/p>\n

Employees are becoming increasingly aware of<\/strong> their company’s CSR objectives<\/strong>. This is leading managers and professional organizers to rethink their corporate and public events<\/strong>. Maxime Fran\u00e7ois begins by explaining the challenges and new ways of thinking about events. <\/p>\n

Solutions for everyone<\/h4>\n

Through the development of photovoltaic energies<\/strong> and operational plans<\/strong>, GL events<\/a> places particular emphasis on its CSR approach. R\u00e9mi Roche explains the challenges and actions of this global group. <\/p>\n

Using geothermal energy<\/strong>, recycling our bio-waste<\/strong> via Les Alchimistes and working with local service providers<\/strong> are all actions cited by Camille Philippot at the Cit\u00e9 des Congr\u00e8s Valenciennes.<\/p>\n

Whatever the type of event organized, it’s possible to take action on a small scale. Delphine Verdavaine and C\u00e9line Simon show us that there are many possibilities, whether it’s through the use of goodies<\/strong> as part of a CSR approach, or by controlling food quantities<\/strong>. <\/p>\n
